A little about me

AND SO IT BEGINS, MY NEW BEGINNING...

     Just a quick little back story before we get to the good stuff. I've always gravitated towards pictures and all things artsy. Even as a little girl I would sit and go through my grandmother's photo albums for hours looking over pictures of family and friends asking, 'who's this? and who's that?' Honestly, I couldn't wait to get a camera of my very own so I could start my own album of memories. I began to pressure my mom and step-dad to the point they finally gave in and bought me my first camera when I was 11 years old and that's how it all started. I used that little camera and hundreds of rolls of film to take pictures of anything and everything from flowers, bugs, and anyone who let me. 

     It was more than 23 years ago that I started my own photography business. I've met so many amazing people and families during this time and not only have I had the honor of meeting them but many have become lifelong friends. It has been a joy to watch their families grow. I've photographed newborns that are now grown and married with babies of their own. I can't think of a more rewarding career to wake up to every day! There have been some emotional experiences over the years, some happy and some sad. Each experience has helped shape me as the photographer and the person I am today, I will be forever grateful! Since the Covid outbreak, small businesses have been greatly impacted but because of my amazing clientele, I am blessed to have been able to continue my career as a photographer. Despite the many challenges and changes, Covid has presented, I am beyond excited to be expanding my photography business with another love of mine. 

     I want to introduce everyone to the EVERBLOOM GREENHOUSE! Now a dream come true. It will allow me to host events such as Elopements, Micro Weddings, Specialty sessions, and something I'm truly excited about, Plant Parties! Oh, and one of the biggest changes of all, I will be hosting photography retreats at the greenhouse for those interested in a career in photography or for anyone just wanting to brush up on their skills. I hope you'll come and take this journey with me.
